About Me

Emily Austin, LCSW

Hi, I’m Emily.

Those who know me best would describe me as an introvert fluent in sarcasm, always on the lookout for the next joke. I love spending my weekends curled up on the couch with my pomsky, Wallace, balancing my obsession with true crime and mindless reality TV. As an introvert, I’ve faced my own struggles with overthinking and finding my voice while staying true to myself. Therapy taught me how to navigate that balance.

Being a woman these days is tough!

We constantly compare ourselves to others on social media and set unrealistic expectations. Our brains often fixate on the negatives, convincing us we need to “fix” everything that seems wrong, which overshadows the positives. This emotional drive can lead to impulsive decision-making, discounting our logic. While anxiety can serve as a helpful instinct at times, learning to reframe its role allows us to distinguish between emotion-driven and logic-driven choices—building confidence and self-trust in the process.

I provide a warm and supportive space where you can freely express all your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Whether it’s tears, laughter, jokes, thoughts, or even gossip, everything is welcome here.

I often work with millennial women who are loyal friends, attentive listeners, and are deeply empathetic towards others.

My goal is to help you manage anxiety and reduce the impact of intrusive thoughts on your life, empowering you to embrace your true self and find peace amidst the chaos.
